Thanks to everyone who came out for the Dan Stapleton lecture! Dan presented an excellent lecture with much good material for everyone. Everybody seemed to have a good time. The only negative comments I heard were about the meeting place because the lighting was poor. I wouldn't have chosen that location if our usual venue had been available to us.

Our new season of activities opens on Wednesday, September 28th with a visit from Aldo and Rachel Colombini. Aldo and Rachel are doing what is called their "Farewell" tour. After this tour they plan to focus on working on their web site and doing some convention appearances. For this lecture tour, they have assembled special lecture notes. I have heard great comments about their lecture. For those of you unfamiliar with Aldo, he is a master of close-up and stand-up magic. He is a prolific creator of magic for all skill levels. In the routines presented by Aldo and Rachel we are guaranteed to find routines that everyone can use. I regularly perform some of his creations and have found that they are very well received by the general public. Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. Come to the lecture Wednesday, September 28th, 7PM at the Tripoli Shriner's Temple, 3000 W. Wisconsin Ave in Milwaukee. It's going to be an incredible event!

Your new Board is busy preparing the program for this coming year. We will have a good mix of activities this year. One thing we can promise you. Very little (15 minutes) of our meeting time will be taken up with business matters. I envision that our meetings will be a mix of instructional opportunities with undesignated time available for simply sharing something new you are excited about with the rest of the group.
