"I Made It Myself" night...

Alright, our bellies are full of turkey and the winds are getting colder. Black Friday has come and gone. It looks like the next stop is Christmas.

Christmas always makes me think of all those happy elves cobbling together goodies to throw under the tree. That brings us to December's meeting theme, 'I made it myself', like you were one of those happy elves cobbling together some holiday magic.

So, bring down a an effect you came up with yourself, a clever twist you came up with on someone else's routine or a prop you built with a discussion on how you made it and the joys and pitfalls you discovered along the way.

Now remember, none of this is written in stone. We just want to see our members at our meeting for a good social time. If your magic doesn't fit the theme, come on down anyway. Your club is always happy to see you.

I was very happy to see the good turnout at the Devin Knight lecture, especially as it was the day before Thanksgiving and I'm quite sure some of our wives, girlfriends, or other family may have had other plans for us on that day. I was really looking forward to this lecture myself and I found myself liking it even more than I had anticipated. Devin did a great job!

Now speaking of lectures, it's my job to locate the lectures for the Ring. I want to hear from you out there. I can't serve you as Vice-President unless I hear your voice. If you don't come to the lectures because you don't like who we have, it's because you haven't told me who you would like to see or the style of magic you would like to see at the next lecture.
